The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles, downtown Los Angeles’ premier luxury hotel, renowned for its sophisticated elegance and impeccable service, has announced Chef Rupam Bhagat as the property’s exclusive onsite Indian caterer. Chef Bhagat offers his expertise in both north and south regional Indian dishes to offer creative and authentic cuisine for weddings and special events.

A native of Mumbai, Chef Bhagat is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, with a degree in culinary arts. He began his culinary career a decade ago as a member of the culinary team at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples and from there traveled to Portugal, Bahrain, Reynolds Lake Oconee and Half Moon Bay all via The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. In 2014, Chef Bhagat returned to the Bay Area to start Dum – his wildly popular food truck offering interpretations of the beloved Indian food on which he was raised and on which his 2016 brick-and-mortar venture, Dum Indian Soul Food, was based. In 2018 Chef Bhagat expanded his restaurant concept to become Ritu Indian Soul Food, honoring the rich and colorful flavors of India’s diverse regions.
The hotel’s venues include three impressive ballrooms with the largest over 25,000 square-feet, and dramatic atrium foyers with floor-to-ceiling windows. Talented wedding planners along with the Ladies and Gentlemen ensure impeccable service and well-thought-out celebrations.
