The Remaking of the The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap
“The peacock is symbolic of the same qualities found in everyday Indian culture, qualities like beauty and grace,” says Tony Maniscalco, Vice President of Marketing at The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap. “Therefore, it goes without saying that families are impressed with the facility because of the respected position the peacock holds in Indian culture.”
Situated in the heart of Marin county surrounded by the Peacock Gap Golf Club and the hills, the romantic setting is perfect for weddings and related festivities. Its popularity is evident in the numbers. “Size and space are a big factor for us. As the largest luxury event space in Marin County, we've been able to accommodate every wedding presented to us,” agrees Maniscalco.
Since the remodel of The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap, the space now holds 1,200 people in the lush inside spaces, and over 1,000 in the outdoor areas. This makes Peacock Gap the perfect venue for Indian weddings. Says Maniscalco: “As you may know, there was a time when Peacock Gap was the place to get married in San Rafael. Since the resurrection of The Clubhouse at Peacock Gap, the news we hear a lot from brides and their families is that they are excited to be able to get married where their parents were married.”
One of the biggest questions couples and their families have is about catering options. Luckily, The Clubhouse is happy to help. “We do allow outside catering of all kinds,” says Maniscalco. “Sometimes the caterers bring everything ready to go. Other times they use our kitchen.”
Their flexibility has meant that Indian weddings flourish in this magical Northern California environment. The natural beauty has additional advantages: “Since we are in San Rafael, we can accommodate a baraat with horse,” adds Maniscalco.
